Brand Ambassador - The Crossings

Our well established wine brand has been selling into on-premise and retail channels across the USA for 15 years and continues to experience year on year growth.

Our place is special, with three distinct vineyards in the Awatere Valley, our sustainable practices are globally recognised and our wines are award winning. Our Brand Ambassador will embody the Kiwi culture being passionate, adventurous, and resourceful. You’ll have a love for New Zealand, the people, the place and the extraordinary wine.

In this role you will be a key influencer, educator and brand promoter helping to drive sales and build relationships with our key importer and distributor partners.

Through educating our distributor teams, conducting in-store tastings, marketing our brand stories and raising brand awareness you’ll raise the profile to influence sales growth, account activation and promotional activities.

Reporting to the VP of Sales – America’s and working alongside our importer and distributor teams you’ll need the following qualities and attributes:

  • Sound appreciation of wine in particular NZ wines
  • Charismatic story teller who enjoys sharing and educating large and small audiences
  • Ability to influence and build relationships
  • Self-motivated, driven and able to work independently, with a home office set-up
  • Must have exceptional follow up
  • Commercially savvy
  • Passion for the brand and New Zealand

You will have experience working for an importer, distributor or as a Brand Ambassador, and will have knowledge of the wine industry in the US, including a clear understanding of the three tier system and the regulated nature of the industry with a focus on legal compliance. 

Combining all the above attributes you’ll be able own this role, educating and training distributors, influencing in trade with consumers, attending key wine shows and sponsorship events.  You’ll be passionately owning and selling our stories at every opportunity.

Preferably you’ll be based in Florida or Texas but we will consider candidates based in New York, New Jersey or Connecticut.

Extensive local and domestic travel (50-75%) is part of the role, as is after hours work to host trade events, wine dinners, tastings etc. and of course you’ll need to visit our home in New Zealand on occasion.
